We all know it’s a buyer’s market right now in real estate, especially in recession-battered Florida. So if you have an extra $2 million lying around, you could buy the house of an animation legend.
Cartoon Brew found a listing for Max Fleischer’s house in Miami. Fleischer was an important figure in the development of animated cartoons, including the creation of the rotoscope, and is well known for his popular Superman cartoon series.
From the seller’s listing:
Designed in 1936 by Albert Anis for Winter Residence of famous cartoonist, Max Fleischer, creator of Superman, Popeye and Betty Boop… John F. Kennedy once visited this house… it’s full of history.
