Englehart’s View by Bob Englehart
I rode up on the elevator with a guy who said he went to high school with Aaron Hernandez in Bristol. He said Hernandez hung out with a rough crowd and was arrogant as hell, but he was a nice guy. Well, we’ll see about that. I come at this story as a neutral observer. I don’t know Hernandez and I’m not a Patriots fan, nor do I hate them. I admire Bill Belichick and Bob Kraft as an owner. Kraft lets Belichek make player decisions and seems to have the good sense to stay out of the way. That Tim Tebow deal is starting to look like genius.
I’m not a tattoo fan, either, especially the kind Hernandez has and way too many other athletes, too. That illustrated man look sickens me. My grandfather had a tattoo on his right forearm. It was a big blurry blob. I asked him one time what it was suppose to be and he said a sailing ship. These people getting tattoos today aren’t thinking long term. What’s that fancy design going to look like in 35 years? I am especially creeped out by tattoos on the neck and face. The only kind of tattoo I like is the kind hidden by clothes or discretion.
