I really feel sorry for you buddy. You put all that time into making
your page up and it didn't bother me at all.
What did bother me was that people with enough ability to read and
operate a mini-computer(which requires mathematical logic), can be
totally lacking it when it comes to assessing character.
Peace Baby, keep the faith even if it involves impeachment.

It is heartwarming to know that so many of you feel sorry for me.

I am a liberal, and obviously not a fan of Rush Limbaugh, so your
cartoons didn't make me mad. Although, I thought they were very weak and
un-funny. Many of the cartoons of yours that I read regarding Rush
Limbaugh - a 4/7 ratio - used statistics that could apply to anyone, but
pretended that they only applied to Rush Limbaugh. Either that, or you
did a very extensive medical survey of Rush. For instance, "Rush
Limbaugh would have to jog more than 16 miles to work off the calories
in one pepperoni pizza with extra cheese." How does that apply to him,
and not me? It depends on the pizza, not the person, as to how many
calories need to be burned from it. Also, "Rush Limbaugh would have
to
exercise continuously, in hot weather, for 4 years and 4 months in order
to sweat enough to fill a typical swimming pool." The same argument
applies. Why is the only half swimming pool water the color of
Limbaugh's sweat? It looks like you forgot to finish coloring it. The
same sort of thing could be said about your cartoon with the brain, sun,
and pea - everyone knows that your intellect isn't nescessarily measured
by the size of your brain. Do you know for sure that RL's brain is
smaller than most humans'? You basically highlight stats (legitimate or
made up, I don't know) or quotes from Republicans and don't put any sort
of humorous spin on them. You let them stand alone and try to use your
artwork as a punchline. Maybe you need a new target.

Cute cartoons. Irrelevant commentary. The only solid shot was about
Limpboy's failure to vote for Reagan. Everything else consists of
personal attacks, beneath true debate.

I am not usually concerned by appearances, but the overweight & food
orientaion of your cartoons impress me with the fact that since you can
not refute the axiomatic truths our great Rush utters daily, you limit
yourself to the infantile gratuitances of obesity and visual typecasting.
This is very impolite and a sign of your willingness to exploit
meaningless ness due to your intellectual inadequacies. Got to go now, my
wife says that some babe is doing a strip tease for J.R. Ewing.

I have a sense of humor......(The man is an ignorant Pig.).... and I love
your page... so much (not that this is any big deal) I want to link it to
my page for "Rush is Fat!" bumper stickers. (http://www.aim-corp.com/fatboys/)
If you want me to remove it I will, otherwise just thought you might like
to know.

Ya gotta love 'em!
I try to see the humor in most things - sometimes it's the only way to get
through a difficult day. I think Rush is quite amusing (in small dosages)
as well. Your cartoons are pretty decent, mostly, but I think all the mail
you've posted is funnier yet! I hope this doesn't discourage you.

The Rush Limbaugh Show has survived ridicule after ridicule. Do you know
why it has survived? RUSH IS RIGHT!!!!! and he also has a sense of
humor. Millions of people listen to him because he offers inspiration
and a place for alternative media, the correct media. He does not
brainwash people. Dittoheads have their own minds, too they disagree
some, but agree with the majority of Rush ideas. bye-bye liberal

Daryl,
Your cartoons don't show anything, except that all you know how to do is
call people names and insult their physical appearance. Well it is whats
inside that counts not outward appearance. You probably don't think the
same way I do, especially if you voted for Clinton. He may appear, through
the screen of the liberal media and his outward facade, to be a good compassionate
man but his record and his politics say otherwise. I don't think you could
point out one thing wrong with Rush's ideas, which is why all you can do
is name call and insult his looks. Why don't you try framing a good reason
for why and where you disagree with Rush on his ideas. Use your brain and
not your insults to combat what you don't agree with.

So Daryl, some readers take you to task for passing off your views as
"truth." Seems like you learned that trick right from the

the public discourse, and I'm sure that his three ex-wives feel the
same way.

Dear Daryl,
I enjoyed your cartoons. I was surprised at the diversity of the
comments that I read about them. It would seem that most of the viewers
were positive about your page (70% or so). Although your main subject
was Rush, I would have to agree with Mr. Rogers (I think!), who said
something like, its easy to do my job when you have the entire
government working for you.
I would agree with some of the comments I read regarding using liberal
subject matter. I understand that you do have to play to your audience.
At any rate, I will be stopping in from time to time to see what other
humor might abound here...

Subject: Limbaugh needs Clinton
Limbaugh saw his greatest rise in popularity following the '92 election
of Bubba to the Oval Office. Prior to Clinton's presidency, Rush's show
was a lot like the old Saturday Night Live political humor, but it's
current role as unofficial GOP campaign HQ is what propelled him into TV
and widespread radio coverage.
He can't be too upset at Bob Dole's nosedive; another 4 years of Clinton
will provide Rush with tons of material. Billy-Boy is Rush's meal
ticket, and it doesn't appear Rush has missed many meals.
Really love the cartoons. Ain't it something how in just 2 years the GOP
has gone from "Government has lost touch with the People" to "The
People
have Lost Touch with the GOP." Dole's latest speeeches are full of
"What's wrong with you people; wake up, America!"

Subject: Ignorance is Bliss
It is amazing to me that you would find a person like Rush Limbaugh
and those with similar beliefs so frightening. You should be very
grateful to people like Mr. Limbaugh and most of the American people
for fighting to keep this country the great democracy that it is. If
it weren't for our fore fathers you would never have the opportunity
to showcase your work here as you have done. I would suggest before
you sit down and draw your next cartoon that you make an effort to
study some history so that you may be brought out of the state of
perpetual ignorance that you are trapped in.
By the way, if you need some great material for your next cartoon you
might take a look at the Clinton camp. They are just oozing with
comical acts over there.

Subject: Where does Limbaugh fit?
Daryl,
Great cartoons! The ones about Rush failing to register and not voting
for Reagan (I assume because he hadn't registered yet?) are at the top
of my list, because they gave me a fact I didn't know. The personal
insults were funny, but not as funny as the stuff with actual content.
BTW, people should know by now that Rush doesn't live up to the image of
a good politically active conservative American. The examples
highlighted on this BB make this point plainly. While I consider these
facts unfortunate, they have never bothered me because of the category
in which I place Limbaugh's work.
To me he is not a politician like a Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton.
Neither is he a journalist like Dan Rather or Peter Jennings. Rush is
more in a category like Johnny Carson or Jay Leno. One of the most
popular portions of Carson's show was his political discourse and humor
in the monologue. Limbaugh has been able to incorporate callers and
expand the monologue to a 3-hour program.
When you consider that before Limbaugh most people seemed to believe
that listening to AM radio caused cancer, I think you have to put his
level of achievement close to that of Carson himself. No one cared about
Carson's personal relationship to his material, and I don't care about
Limbaugh's personal relationship to the stuff on EIB. If he ever runs
for office, that'll be a horse of a different color.
Popular convention here seems to dictate revealing one's personal niche
in the political spectrum. I'm an Arkansan, a Labrador Retriever
enthusiast, a pork eater, and a Ph.D. student. While I was growing up my
Dad worked for Bill Clinton (helped direct his first campaign for
Attorney General), and I get mad at Limbaugh because he is often too
liberal for me.
Thanks for the good humor!

Although I don't like the term "ditto-head" I think Rush Limbaugh
has a
good sense of humor as well as an accurate perspective on things. I don't
always agree with him, but the thing I disagree with him most on is his
approach, not his facts. It seems to me that I have fallen into an
anti-Rush page. No problem. But come November 5th I'd rather be
classified as a "ditto" than a dodo.
I guess you're a Bernie Ward fan. Have you ever heard his famous line,
"Let's not compare apples and oranges?" He does this to derail
his callers
and intimidate them to following his line of arguement. And listen to his
signoff sometime. It really tells the truth about him, regardless of what
he says on his show.
