We all know that after every debate, surrogates from both the left and the right will try to spin the debate any way they can to make their guy look good. Just turn on Fox News or CNN today and watch for five minutes.

However, on Current TV last night, former Vice President Al Gore came up with the lamest defense ever for a subpar debate performance – Denver’s high altitude.

“Obama arrived in Denver at 2 PM today. Just a few hours before the debate started,” Gore said last night. “Romney did his debate prep in Denver. When you go to 5,000 feet and you only have a few hours to adjust — I don’t know.”

Here’s the video. Is it just me, or is Current TV’s screen layout terrible? There seems to be more space devoted to a twitter live-feed and other nonsense there there is for the experts you’re supposed to be tuning in to hear.
