Well, I tried to avoid doing a cartoon about Rupert Murdoch’s hacking scandal but it’s just too big. And too much fun! Apparently, Faux News hasn’t covered any of this. I didn’t know because I don’t watch that crap. My time is too valuable to waste, but I’m not surprised. Faux news does the bidding of Roger Ailes, its rotund president in charge of lies and half-truths. Whatever he wants, they do and he’s either getting orders from the top, or he’s using his finely honed skills as a Faux News executive.
Liberals have their multi-billionaire fat cats, too, but none of them are in the same trouble Murdoch is in right now. I hope it continues to go badly for him. He’s done more to spread the gospel of disinformation, sleaze and invasion of privacy around the globe than anyone I can think of. Too bad, too. We need all the newspaper champions we can get.
