Here we go again, another break-the-bank Senatorial campaign in 2012!  Hey, I'm not complaining. It makes my professional life easy,  plus I really like to draw Susan Bysiewicz.

Funny thing about Senator Joe Lieberman. He did what we ask a politician to do, you know? Be your own man, don't slavishly follow the party line, stand up for what you believe in, don't be thinking political all the time. Yes, he was independent, and we hated him for it.

Over the years, I voted for Joe about as much as I did his opponent. I decided in 2008 I wouldn't  vote for his reelection in 2012 because he supported Sarah Palin, John McCain, the war in Iraq, dissed President Obama and most recently single-handedly shot down the public option feature of health care reform. Of course, he was just doing his job protecting his insurance company benefactors in Connecticut. I'll give him this, though. He had the best sense of humor in the Senate. He needed it.
