State Legislator Robert Godfrey compared the budget process to making soup and that there are different ingredients that go into it. Yeah, soup. Not any soup I would want to eat.
I'm cutting our politicians a lot of slack here until we get the whole picture on the state budget. We'll know more tomorrow after Governor Malloy reveals in detail the rest of his budget. Meantime, I'm glad I quit smoking. I don't own a boat, or an airplane, so I'm saving tax dollars there. Now if I could quit driving, drinking (not at the same time) and buying over-the-counter remedies, I'd be in good shape.
I should think the sales tax on cosmetic surgery in Fairfield County alone could retire the deficit.
