
I think Governor Dannel P. Malloy should re-name his traveling road show a "hearing" tour instead of a "listening" tour. He's hearing plenty, but so far I don't know if he's listening. As usual, the middle class will pay far more than their fair share of the tax burden in this great state.
We coddle the rich in Connecticut and let them off the tax hook because we're afraid they'll move out of state. I say let 'em, those that would do such a thing. I suspect the average billionaire in Connecticut wouldn't mind sharing a bigger chunk of the tax burden. I suspect that most of those folks would think it's fair. I don't know a lot of wealthy people, but the ones I do are fair-minded and they're not going anywhere.
