I was saddened to read about the death of Draper Hill, the former cartoonist for the Detroit News.  I got to know Draper through the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists (AAEC) conventions; he was among the first cartoonists on our site when we started out back in the 1990's.  

Draper was a cartoon historian and a walking encyclopedia of the editorial cartooning profession. He will be missed.  Read Draper's obit from the Detroit News.
